Dr. Sara Ann Conneely, D. Min.
A native of the Chicago suburbs, Sara received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. In 2025, she completed her Doctor of Ministry degree from Catholic Theological Union. While her education is primarily in Catholic theology, Sara feels confident leading services in all different traditions, Christian and beyond. Your experience should be reflected in the most sacred moments of your life. As such, Sara is comfortable including whatever cultural or spiritual elements are important to you - and avoiding whatever is not in your practice. The majority of the wedding ceremonies Sara has designed or either completely or mostly secular in nature.

As the founder of Sacred Celebrations by Sara, she brings joy, compassion, and a deep sense of spirituality to every ceremony she officiates. Sara’s background includes over ten years of service as a minister and educator, during which she honed her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She serves as a spiritual director and spiritual wellness coach, offering empathetic guidance to individuals seeking a deeper connection with their faith and purpose. Her years as a retreat director have equipped her with the skills to create reflective and transformative experiences, while her time as a funeral minister have taught her how to bring solace and peace to families during times of loss.
Sara’s unique combination of roles has shaped her into a skilled officiant who excels at weaving personal stories, spiritual depth, and heartfelt connection into every ceremony she creates.
